I grew up in Columbus, Ohio, and was lucky to have two parents who were very involved in the Arts community of Central Ohio and who run a successful Interior Design business. From an early age I was decorating my bedroom, my dorm room, and Staging places I lived. Through many Art classes and a curriculum of color and shapes in Visual Communications at the Ohio State University my love of furniture, design, color and shapes was further fostered. I combine the quirky sense of design I grew up with with the clean lines of design I am fond of. Nature plays a big part of my design theory as well, as the out-of-doors for me is a calming respite and bringing it indoors helps balance lives.
I discovered a course through a friend of mine whose fiance had his home professionally Staged by an ASP Stager. His home sold in three days in a downturn Real Estate market. I took the course, and became professionally Accredited as an ASP Stager. It is rewarding to Stage a home and see it sell quickly. Everyone wins! The seller, the Realtor, the buyer.
